extracting KMZ photos

Ok, here is a challenge. I have a KMZ with photos made out of the Avenza PDF map app. Something is missed up with the KMZ, the file size and photos are in it but it will not show when opening in Google Earth. So, I drag the KMZ into Global Mapper 17.2 and it appears to extract all the jpeg images. But nothing opens into the GM screen and I have no idea if this extraction was placed somewhere on my hard drive or not.

Any ideas if Global Mapper extracted these images somewhere that I could retrieve them?
