range ring around the vessel in GPS mode. Only in Geographic projection?

I can't have the "range ring" in the gps mode if I choose a UTM mode for instance. I can only see the range ring ( as a ellipse then) only in geographic projection;
it is normal ?
my GM version is 16.2.

    Hello,

    This sounds like it might be a bug.  I recommend that you send a formal support request via the Help->Send Support Request... menu in Global Mapper, or by sending an e-mail containing a description of your workflow and the error message, along with sample data, if possible, to Blue Marble Geographics Support (geohelp@bluemarblegeo.com).  Either of these methods will ensure that the support team sees the problem and that you get a timely response.
