Using the SYM_ANGLE field to rotate points from a .csv file

I am using the SYM_ANGLE or ANGLE field name to signify symbols (multiple geological strike and dip points from field mapping) to be rotated in a .csv.  Global Mapper is not recognising the field name.  Where do I apply or tell Global Mapper to use the ANGLE field to rotate the bedding symbols by?

    Hi muzza,

It looks like the SYM_ANGLE and ANGLE attributes are not applied to their associated point feature on .CSV import. That's a bug, and I've created a ticket (#18402) to fix it. We'll let you know here when a version of Global Mapper containing the fix is available. Should be sooner rather than later.

    Best regards,

It looks like the bug was assigned to a dev that no longer works for us and was kind of lost. I've taken it now and will check it out.

    Thanks,

It turns out this was done way back in v18, just under a different ticket. So any separate ANGLE / SYMBOL_ANGLE attribute should be applied to the symbol rotation if a symbol is also specified.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks,
