Rectify lidar point cloud
I am a long time Global Mapper user but new to Version 17.
We are looking at alternatives for rectifying point clouds created with drone based photogrammetry.
I am somehow led to believe that GM17 should allow me to "rectify" or "correct" the point cloud in a process similar to image rectification?.
I can't seem to find this functionality? Does it exist?

Hello,
Select your point cloud in the Overlay Control Center, the right-click and choose RECTIFY - Modify Layer Position/Projection.
The Raster Processing webinar contains information about how to rectify data. The webinar deals with raster data, but the concepts are the same for a point cloud. You can get related information from the help file by clicking on the Index tab and typing in "Rectify".
Cheers,
Bob
