is it possible to create points at the intersection of a route centerline with road crossing lines and copy the road line attributes

to the newly created point feature(s)?

Hello,

Yes, this is possible.  Here is what you need to do:

1. Select your road centerline(s).
2. Right-click and choose Advanced Selection Options | Select All Areas or Lines that Intersect the Selected Lines.  This should select all of your intersecting road lines.
3. Right-click and choose Vertex Editing | Insert Vertices and/or split at intersections of selected features
4. On the Insert and Split Options screen, choose Insert Vertices at Intersections Only. 
5. Click OK.
6. The point features will have all of the attributes from both intersecting line features, with prefixes of LINE1_ and LINE2_
