8 bit and 16 bit intensity from LAS

I have written a script that will produce intensity images from LAS files. They work fine with 8 bit las files with intensity values from 0 to 255. When using LAS files with a 16 bit range (0 to 65535), GM fails to read the intensity values. Is there a way to change a setting in GM that will allow me to use the script on these newer las files?

    Hello,

    What version of Global Mapper are you using?  Version 17 can read 16-bit intensity values, but I am not sure about earlier versions.

    Can you display your properly in Global Mapper?

    The colors are Black, White, or Light Grey. This is from GM 17 with lidar module. I get the same result from my other machine with GM 16 without lidar module.
