Combining LAS with GPS surveyings

There is an area of which I have LAS and also manmade surveyings of roads (DWG). The manmade surveyings have higher precicion than the las. I want to make an elevation grid with them combined. The end product is to be a map with contour lines.

How would you describe your working process if to do the same?

What version of Global Mapper are you using?

Have you tried loading all of your data, then using Analysis | Create Elevation Grid from 3D Vector/Lidar Data...?  This allows you to choose one or more data layers to be used when calculating the grid.
