Rectifying a series of data points based on geolocations of only a few
I have a series of total station data points (>200) collected on river terraces. There are also some wells in the area (~25). When the total station were first collected they were only internally referenced without geographic location. Subsequently, the well locations were obtained with RTK gps. The problem is how to now take all of the total station data and have it geographically referenced to the well data. Incidentally, almost all of the wells are located in a small corner of the surveyed area. Is there a way to do this in GlobalMapper? I’ve thought of creating a TIN of the unreferenced data and then rectifying the TIN by giving the well data the appropriate geolocation information. Is there a better way to do this?
Using GM 16
Thanks
