Counting Areas if a line pass

Hello Folks,

I need some help/ideas.

I have parcels data (area features) that I need to count if a path (line feature) pass in front of the parcel.

Any suggestions?

What if you buffer the line, say 50m, and then used that buffer area to select the intersecting parcels?

Select the buffer area with the digitizer tool, right-click, choose Advance Selection Options, Select All Area Features Enclosed..., and then "Any Overlap ... allowed"
