How do I get a raster into Google Earth without having the yellow background of Global Mapper

I am trying to get arrows with text into Google Earth and create a KMZ..............when I make a shape it does show the text or arrows, when I make a geotif I get the background of Global Mapper........................

When you export your kmz, can you try the option of 'PNG' rather than Tiff?  This kmz option allows you to export your background pixels as transparent rather than the Global Mapper Background.
