on the fly measurement of a line while it is being edited.

Hi all,
I was thinking how useful it would be to get an on the fly length measurement of any selected line, when one of its vertexes are moved. As the vertex changes position, the length of the line will change as well.
Even better, when the vertexes of more than one line are selected and moved about, to get an on the fly length of the total length of all selected lines. I guess the output can be somewhere along the grey bar on the bottom of the screen, next to the scale etc.
Just an idea. Or if this exists in GM16.2 can someone point me to the right direction?
Thanks all
y

Sorry for the delay in replying...the Suggestion Box category appears to have been hidden during the forum software migration.
I have added feature request #16212 to our task list so we can evaluate inclusion of this functionality in a future version of Global Mapper. We will post back to this thread when the status of that feature request changes.
