Default overlay option / 4-band imagery

Hello,
This is a 3-part question:
Can you create an option to leave overlays off by default when loading data? We open several hundred large TIFF files we would like to selectively turn these on.
We would prefer to use image catalogs to view the imagery, but image catalogs do not support 4-band TIFF images (RGB + infrared) as well as opening these same TIFFs individually. Can you add support for changing the band display within image catalogs as well?
Finally, if we could export all 4 bands of the TIFF and not just the 3 displayed in the view, that would be the best solution.
Again, we only need one of these for our current process, not all three.
Thanks!

I would suggest just loading all of your TIFF files at once using the File->Open All Files in Directory Tree menu command, then hit ESC to abort the draw once that is done, then open the Control Center, select all of the files, then press the Hide button. That should work the same as having the hide applied at load time. You can then just save a workspace file and they'll automatically come in hidden.
The band display option for a map catalog would be difficult as it is certainly possible that the files referenced by a map catalog may have different bands available, so it's not necessarily possible to display a single band setup tab for multiple files like that.
Export of files with more than 3 bands may be added in a future release.
Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Thanks,
Mike
