Export Vector > Shapefile > Attribute Setup

Hi,

I am trying to export a Shapefile and change an attribute from Float to Integrer using the "Attribute Setup" tab.

The content of the field is integer, but the exported dbf field is still Float.

Any suggestion?

Another question, is the same doable thru SCRIPTING LANGUAGE? I did not find any option in the scripting language page.
