Detrending DEMs

I'd like to remove a regional tilt from a DEM. Is there a tool whereby I could either do that by subtracting a gradient image from the DEM? or, alternatively, can I create a tilted plane, make it transparent and alter it's height so I can display it in 3D view like the water line?-Tim.

    Hi Tim,

You could do something like this:
    1) Create an area feature over your DEM.
    2) Add and edit the elevation of its vertices to give the desired angle (DEM elevation correction).
    3) Go to Analysis | Create Elevation Grid from 3D Vector Data.
    4) Go to Analys | Combine/Compare Terrain Layers and setup an add operation.

That's an excellent suggestion, thank you!
