Sun shading.

Now we have some awesome tools in the LIDAR module for visualizing point cloud data, how about adding a sun shading feature to the 3d viewer. It would be extremely useful for people dealing with shading issues from buildings and trees to see the effect that they have on shading other features at different times of the day and different times of the year.

    I've added ticket #14494 for this enhancement request. I don't see it as a short-term deliverable, but we'll add it to the list. We'll post back here with further updates.

    Update: This feature, now part of ticket #GM-556, has not yet been implemented but we are looking at the possibility of adding it in the near future.
