Open recent files list unreliable

I open global mapper workspaces from many different projects very frequently, but I find that in my recent files list, there are many times that projects that I've previously opened don't appear in the list.
I know for sure that I've opened these projects and safely closed them without incident. Is there something specific that I have to do that ensures that it is in the recent files list?

Hello,
What version of Global Mapper are you using?
Are you referring to workspace files being missing from the recent files (MRU) list, or other types of data files? Do you see the file in the MRU list immediately after you open it, but if you close and restart Global Mapper, it is no longer there?
Are you running multiple instances of Global Mapper at the same time? Whether or not files persist in the MRU list can depend on the order in which the multiple instances of Global Mapper are closed.
Cheers,

I'm using Global Mapper 15.2 (64-bit).
That's correct, .gmw files are missing from the recent files list in the File menu. I never notice my project file there, and sometimes when i close and re-open the program I cannot find my .gmw file in there.
Oh, you are right! I am indeed running multiple instances of Global Mapper.
