Downloading historical map published in google maps engine

Can I import these two map layers directly into GM? If not, is there any means available to download these maps?

If you can find the actual historical map somewhere you could load it. In this case I suspect there is a custom Google Map tile source somewhere that contains the historical map. The Google Maps display shows the Google imagery, then the custom tile source on top. If you knew the URL to get at the historical map tiles you could add them as a custom Google Maps source in GM. I would maybe contact the data provider.
