Version to Clipboard

The most common response to a request for help in the Forum is: What version are you running?
The answer is usually useful but incomplete.
1. Include an option to copy to the clipboard the current version details, such as displayed in Help | About, for use when submitting a support request by email or in the Forum. Then mention this option wherever useful, perhaps in more places than just in the Forum.
2. Include links to the Forum in more places on www.bluemarblegeo.com. I see it only on the Global Mapper Resources tab. For example, it is not in Support. Both the generic link at the top of the pages, and the Global Mapper Support tab, wind up in the same place without mention of the Forum.
Now where was I ... Ah, working on trails on top of an image layer in Global Mapper, and wishing my area was a little more south to be within the limited Lidar coverage around here.
Thanks,
Mykle

Mykle,
I have updated the Help menu commands to go to the forum or submit a tech support request to automatically copy the version string to the clipboard (and tell the user it's there). I have placed a new build at http://www.bluemarblegeo.com/downloads/global-mapper/global_mapper15.zip with the latest changes for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v15.xx installation folder to give it a try. If you are using the 64-bit v15 version there is a new build at http://www.bluemarblegeo.com/downloads/global-mapper/global_mapper15_64bit.zip .
Thanks,
Mike

That looks like it will help anyone who remembers where to look. Now to get the word out (that's the hard part).
Might also help to have this available in Help | About, perhaps a button next to the version number.
Thanks,
Mykle
