Move Line or Area from one user created layer to another

I have an aerial photo with several layers on top that include lines and areas. I need to move several lines and areas from one user created layer to another. Can this be done and if so how?

    I would suggest selecting the features to move with the Digitizer Tool, pressing Ctrl+X to cut the features and place them on the clipboard, then opening another instance of Global Mapper, pressing Ctrl+V to paste the features into that instance, then export those to a new file and load that into the original instance of Global Mapper to get them in a new layer in the Control Center.
