.PRN File Import

I am looking for a way to import several .prn files (map images) into GM.

The State of Alaska has generated some maps for distribution to subscribers as .prn files. The files are print files from a hp plotter 5000 series. Their recommendation upon download is to install and use the hp drivers from the hp site. This does not work well due to the newer age of my computer/software, versus their older hardware/software.

I have tried commercial conversion software on the .prn files but they do not work, perhaps because the files are images and not text files.

I attempted to attach one file here but it is too large.

How big is the file? I can increase the file upload size.

The largest is 56,560KB.

There isn't any support for loading PRN files in Global Mapper. If you could load it in some other printer-based software and convert to a normal image format then Global Mapper could load it. I'm very surprised anyone would distribute maps as PRN files though. It seems PDF would be a much better choice. Really anything else at all would be better.
