Bil Export

Hi,

I am using Global Mapper v13. I have input in. bil with 7 decimal precision. I converted the .bil to .xyz in Global Mapper for further editing (to remove anomaly in DSM). I got only 3 decimal precision. After completion of editing work, converted into ASCII format for compare the input and final data. When I compared the results manually, they were exactly matched. But When Using Combine Terrain Layers, there were errors between -0.000001 and 0.000001 in all the points.

Is there any other option to export the full floating point BIL to XYZ with the same precision in Global Mapper 15 or any patch to be added to get the desired result? If yes we will go to buy global mapper 15.

There is now support in scripting in v15 for exporting a XYZ grid and providing PRECISION in the EXPORT_ELEVATION command to override the default level of export precision. I will also add that option to the user interface and provide a new v15 build shortly. You can contact gmorders@bluemarblegeo.com to upgrade from v13.

I have completed adding support for providing precision for elevation values when exporting XYZ grid via the interface. Once you have v15 installed you can apply the patch below (or it is built-in to the installers once v15.0.5 is out there, probably later this week). I have placed a new build at http://www.bluemarblegeo.com/downloads/global-mapper/global_mapper15.zip with the latest changes for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v15.xx installation folder to give it a try. If you are using the 64-bit v15 version there is a new build at http://www.bluemarblegeo.com/downloads/global-mapper/global_mapper15_64bit.zip .
