Is it possible to add a point number to a LAS file that does not have one so it will export a text file in this format
1.N,E,Z
2.N,E,Z
ETC.
1.N,E,Z
2.N,E,Z
ETC.

Does the number have to be the first column? If not you could first save your point cloud out to a point Shapefile, then load that back in and right-click on the Shapefile layer and select to CALC ATTRS then assign a new ID (or whatever name you want) attribute to the <Index in Layer> value, which should give you a unique ID for each point. You can then export that to a CSV file. The ID attribute would be after the XYZ rather than before though.
Thanks,
Mike
