Which version of tiff is supported by mapwindow gis ?

i m making a project which displays geotiff,tiff images and then to use other properties.. my problem is that when i am opening a tiff image in my software which i am making in vb.net(visual studio),some images are opening correctly but some other images are coming in green color or some other combination of colors.. i want to know the mapwindow gis tool (which i am using in visual studio vb.net) supports which version of tiff file..i have downloaded mapwindow gis 6 from mapwindow.org site..
please help me out ....

This forum is for Global Mapper. I'm not sure what MapWindow GIS is.
