Hello,

Does Gm_CloseLayer guarantee that I can delete the file that was loaded can be deleted ?
Because I close the layer but I cannot delete the file...
What should I do?

    Dana,

    Unless something else also has the file loaded calling GM_CloseLayer should close any handles that Global Mapper has open to the file. What format of file is it?

    Hello,
    It is a tiff file and after closing the layer it didn't let me close the file:) It was a more complex idea ... I had a layer then I reprojected it (by exporting it in a new projection and then reimporting the new file) and then I tried to delete the original old file...and it didn't let me even if between the export and load of the new file I closed the layer....

    Dana,

    Which version of the SDK are you using? There did used to be a problem with TIFF files not being released when you closed them so you couldn't delete the actual files on disk, but I think that's been fixed for a while.
