I have been using GM very sparingly for about 5 years when I purchased a license for GM 21.1. As I only need to use it very rarely, I didn't renew the support license. Last year, I bought a new computer and was advised by GM that in order to transfer the license to another machine, I would need to go through the removal verification process. To do that, I would need to remove the license from the old machine, send the removal code to authorize@bluemarblegeo.com.

Then once that was received, they said that I could authorize another machine. I did all of that last year without any issue even though I was out of service.

Now, I have upgraded my computer again and want to do the same thing, but GM is trying to tell me that I cannot transfer to another machine and I need to purchase a new license.

Like I said, I use this software very sparingly to convert some DEM data to LiDAR. I paid over $1000 for this license 5 years ago and I really don't use it enough to justify spending money on another license.

Can anyone confirm that there is no way to transfer this current license to the new machine following the steps mentioned above? I am afraid that if I remove the license from the current machine, then I won't even be able to use GM on the previous machine.

It feels like their CS is just trying to squeeze me to buy another license but I suspect that there are actually some free tools out there that can handle the simple task that I am using it for.

Any support would be greatly appreciated.

I have a license for GM version 21.1 and have recently upgraded my computer. I no longer have the installation file for this version of GM and I realize that they no longer provide installation files for older versions of GM.

I only use GM very sparingly for small projects so have no need to upgrade and it would actually be cheaper for me to just keep the old computer just for the times when I do need to access GM, but this would not be my preference.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find the download/installation file for this version?

I have attached a pdf document with 3 lidar samples and their stats. I want to make sure I am understanding the data and how the statistics are read. In these examples the most dense (with most points and therefore best depiction of an area) would be the grey image. The one with the highest point density at 2454 /m2 even though it has a lower point cloud count correct?

The first one listed has a higher point cloud but that is just because it is a larger area covered. This has no effect on the sampling density, or does it?

In my workflow, I'm looking for remove noises for raw point coud using automtic filter, STD and POINT_SPACING parameters.

So are there any recommanded configurations to do it ?

I already used automatic filter with different configurations such as: POINT_SPACING=128,64,32,16,8,4,2 respectivemly witn STD_DEV=3,3,3,2,1,1,1 , in both values positif and negatif elevation...but I'm still use the manual cleaning.

I'm mapping a Temperature map by parts using XYZ data, and I'm having problems on the boundaries of the areas I defined. I wish I could smooth those limits doing an interpolation or something like that.
