Adding attributes from point feature to area feature

Hi GM team,

I have successfully added attributes to features in the DBF file, but the problem is that the order of the features created in shp files and the attributes in DBF file is not of accordance.

So I created point features based on the UTM X and UTM Y positions and it turned out like this



Is there a way to add the attributes from the point features to the area features?

that adding of attributes from point features to area features are possible.

Adding Attributes to Areas from Included Point Features

If one or more area features are selected, the Add Attributes to Selected Areas from Points option will appear when right-clicking. Selecting this option will cause Global Mapper to search for any point features within each area and, if found, add the attributes from the included point feature to the area's attribute list. If multiple points are found within the area the user is prompted whether or not to use the attribute data.

However, when I select the features and right click with the digitizer tool, the Add Attributes to Selected Areas from Points option option did not come out. Is it only on version 11? Or it does not work this way?

Eugenia,

The option to assign attributes to areas from points was added in v10.01. If you are on v10, just download and install the last v10.xx release from http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper10_setup.exe and then that feature should be there for you.
