Post NY Data Clearing House WMS

I am trying to add the NY Stata WMS site. They provide the following url:

http://gisdata.usgs.gov/wmsconnector/ com.esri.wms.Esrimap/USGS_EDC_Ortho_NYSDOP?

- but no server name. I have already tried WMS.

They do not support Global Mapper, but I was wondering if it was still possible to access their WMS server and if so do you have any suggestions.

Did you confirm with the data provider that the URL is still correct and that the server is working? I wasn't able to open that particular WMS data source in ArcGIS Explorer, either. Nor was I able to open it in the ESRI ArcIMS format as specified on NYSGIS - Orthoimagery - Web Map Service

So, I don't think it's just a Global Mapper problem.

Other data offered on the same server can be loaded into GM, so I guess it's a problem with the NY orthoimagery data source.
