New suggestion format

The suggestion poll was a good starting point, but I keep seeing a newer interactive suggestion feature for a lot of applications I work with.

Anyone can submit an idea, and then anyone can vote on ideas.

Something like this would be great for GlobalMapper.

Adobe needed one, and didn't get to it in time. Thus they have the dearadobe.com which is not run by adobe. ESRI probably saw a dearesri.com nightmare heading their way, so they were proactive and created the arcgis ideas site. http://ideas.arcgis.com/

It would be cool to have something like the ideas.arcgis.com site, where users can submit and vote on suggestions.

I have started playing around with this a little. Your right, it would be much better than the current poll format.

I like the user voice but it would be nice if I could host it on my own domain and not have to pay uservoice monthly.

Do you know of any self-hosted scripts that have a a similar function?

I think this might be something I could integrate into this site but I'm not sure yet. Would be nice if vbulletin already had a plugin that could do this.
