Wink Converting 3-D DXF Files-Feet versus Meter

    Hello Global Mapper,
We have always had good success converting DXF files from one projection to another, but today we are having a problem with the elevation not converting to feet as specified in the parameters. The easting and northing are converting perfectly from NAD27_Zone12_Meters to WGS84_Zone12_Feet, but the elevation does not convert to feet.

I would appreciate any help I can get.

    Thanks in advance!

    Zach

    Zach,

The elevation units are separate from the projection units used. They should obey the elevation unit setting on the Vertical Options tab of the Configuration dialog, although I took a look and discovered that for DXF exports that was not working right. I have corrected that so now that elevation setting (i.e. metric, statute, or maintain the original) should work for DXF vector exports. I have placed a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper11.zip with the change for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v11.xx installation folder to give it a try. If you are using the 64-bit version, there is a new build available at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper11_64bit.zip .

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

    Mike
