    Default Google Earth Display

I have a project I would like to distribute using Google Earth (GE).

    I have:
TIN with draped imagery. GM 3D looks Grrrrrrrrrreat!!!

    I want:
Free standing model in GE. ('like' SketchUP; Terrain surface with the imagery I choose on the surface)

If I export to KML/KMZ I get the image only on there terrain model in GE.

What do I need to do?
Can GM export to a SketchUp model file?

    Chris,

There is not any direct support for exporting a new terrain surface to Google Earth or for exporting new SketchUp format files. What you could do is export your terrain to a 3D DXF Face file, then load that back in and export it to a vector KML file with 3D areas enabled to show your surface in space above the Google Earth terrain. There isn't any way to drape your imagery on that rather than the base Google Earth terrain though.

    Thanks,

    Mike
