Right after a basic WorkFlowDiagram invented for finishing maps with a NON GIS (graphic) software comes another interesting subject - i.e. Hill Shading. Much has been told abt this matter already, however most of us (mappers) had to develop our own preferencies - how to obtain best results. 1. We got within this Forum at least one very good material ref. to hill shading: 2. But still uncomparable is one methode created by Mr Roger Smith from http://www.geographx.co.nz/ ...
As a mapper concentrated on tourist maps I'm finishing maps with a NON GIS (drawing) software (CorelDRAW). However the core of the WorkFlow system is GlobalMapper. In order to make that WorkFlow workable and to preserve finished maps carthometry I had to develop my own system called "transfer-frames" on both ends. I'm interesting how others deal with this subject. Perhaps we could learn more one from another. PLS share Yours concepts. You can find my own WorkFlowDiagram right here http://www.globalmapper.com.pl/workflowdiagram.html ...
