    The old expression "The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence" implies that we think we would be happier in a different set of circumstances and that the realities on that other side of the fence are seldom evident of much difference in our happiness.     Howdy fellow GM'ers.


    Finding/making palettes and shaders can be a chore. Here is a source for 165 of them designed specifically for cartography, and a fairly easy method to get them turned into ".pal" files for use in GM.


    First, go to this non-commercial site http://colorbrewer2.org and see if any of these palettes are useful to you. Familiarize yourself with the types/color schemes/class numbers, and how the page works. The site provides four ways to ...

    One of the great things about running Global Mapper Forum.com is seeing the happy and dedicated following that Global Mapper receives. I have enjoyed witnessing the interaction between the support team and customers. In fact, some might say that this ability to listen and respond to customers is one of Global Mapper's best features.
