ReSample/Split Selected Feature at Specified Spacing

Hi, Mike
I need your help: I need to split a selected line feature into a number of segments, based on specified distance values, not equally o proportional segments.
Would It be possible in Global Mapper? Thanks

Yes, just select the line feature(s) with the Digitizer Tool, then right-click and under Crop/Combine/Split select to Resample/Split Selected Features at Spacing. Then you can provide a distance spacing to split at.
Thanks,

I have a lot of different distances spacing that I must provide for several line features, I need to load several data - is it possible to do with the option Resample/Split Selected Features at Spacing? or GM script?
Very Thanks,global_mapper wrote: »Yes, just select the line feature(s) with the Digitizer Tool, then right-click and under Crop/Combine/Split select to Resample/Split Selected Features at Spacing. Then you can provide a distance spacing to split at.

The function is [h=2]Setup Sample Spacing - Sample Features at Fixed Distance Interval, is it possible for several data?[/h]
Thank you,Mike

Do you have an attribute for the lines that specifies what distance interval you want to use? If so we could add something to check for that attribute to get a sample spacing to allow different spacings for different lines.

I have a line feature with a length of 180,79 units; that need to be split into specific lengths (4 parts):
13.79 unit, 48 unit, 60 unit, and 60 unit.
I could add something theses values for each line feature, but my question is how? In the attribute table only it appears one register for line, each.

You could do that manually now by using the option to sample at a single fixed distance for the line, first at 13.79 units, then repeat on the end portion of the line for the other distances. If you just have a single line that would be easy. If you have a bunch of lines that all need a series of distances that would be more problematic.
Thanks,
Mike
