In GM 15.1, the islands in a polygon lake shapefile are displayed in black (rather than being transparent/absent). See the attached picture.

The islands are displayed correctly in GM 13.2.

I loaded the shapefile into Global Mapper version 15.1.5 without a problem. The islands appear as transparent holes within the lake. What method did you use to assign the fill color to the lake? Is the attached image a screenshot of the Global Mapper map window or an exported file?

In the Overlay Control Center, Vector Options, I set the lake to: Lake, Unknown Area. In the Configuration panel, I set the Lake, Unkown Area Fill Pattern to: Solid Fill, Red 209, Green 225, Blue 243; border style: Null.

That picture is a screen grab of the GM 15.1 map window.

Here is a screen grab of the same shapefile where in Overlay Control Center, Vector Options, the lake is set to: Unknown Area Type - and - In the Configuration panel, Unknown Area Type is set to solid black.

Ah that was a bug briefly in one build of v15. If you get the latest (v15.1.5) from Global Mapper Downloads the holes in the areas should render properly again.

    Thanks,

    That fixed the problem.
