Select all areas that have the centroid inside the selected area

Hello all,
I am sure this was an option beside the "Completely Inside a Selected Area" and "Any Overlap with a Selected Area" ones.
As you can see, in the version I am using, GM v14.1 (b020313) 64bit I have no such option.

There used to be one to only keep areas where the centroid was in the selected area, which somehow I convinced myself was the same as the overlap check so I go rid of it. Now thinking about it I can see that is more restrictive than the "any overlap" option, so I restored it. I have placed a new build at http://www.bluemarblegeo.com/downloads/global-mapper/global_mapper14.zip with the latest changes for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v14.xx installation folder to give it a try. If you are using the 64-bit v14 version there is a new build at http://www.bluemarblegeo.com/downloads/global-mapper/global_mapper14_64bit.zip .
Thanks,
Mike

Hello,
Just a follow-up regarding this feature. I used it several times since the it was added again and every time I had a few area features that are not selected, like in the example below. Their centroid si clearly inside the outer area (the one marked with a red outline).
For some reason, it always leaves out some area features which should be contained in the select.

Robert,
I took a look and found that if you did a "centroid only" search and the centroid of an area was outside of the area itself, then the area was never added. I have updated the check so that if the area centroid is outside of the area but inside the search area and there is at least some overlap of the area with the search area, the area is still kept.
