Trim all lines within area boundaries?

Mike,
I realize I can select all lines within an area, or all lines within and crossing area boundaries. But can I select all lines within an area and trim those crossing the area boundaries so that I delete ALL line features within the area, but none of the line features outside of it?
Thanks,
Hilton

    Hilton,

Yes, you can select the area and the lines, then right-click and select to Crop/Split the Selected Line Features to the Selected Area. You then just specify to split the lines so you will have the parts inside and outside. Then just select all lines inside the area afterwards and delete them.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

    Mike
