Hello,

I am looking to create a point that I can insert and looks the same as the one posted below. Is there a way I can do this? Global Mapper only lets me use there default points.

Thanks very much in advance,

Michael

    Michael,

You can add new custom symbols on the Point Styles tab of the Configuration dialog from an image file (like a PNG with transparency), then you can just select that as the symbol for your point.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

Thanks for the information and quick response Mike, but is there a way I can create a custom point within Global Mapper like the person in the screenshot I posted did?

    Thanks in advance,

    Michael

You can't design the symbol itself in Global Mapper, but for the screenshot what you are showing could be drawn with just line features rather than a point. To make it a point you would have to design the point symbol in some other application, then add it as a custom symbol from an image file in Global Mapper and then place a point using that symbol using the Digitizer Tool.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,
