Index Contour lines
emmsee
Global Mapper User
Running Global Mapper 12.
Have a SHP and DXF file of 5 meter contours.
In ArcGIS Explorer I can choose the index contour lines and change their density/thickness/color to make them stand out by double clicking on an area and the index contour lines appear in a dialog box that allows me to alter the color etc of either the index lines or the intermediate lines.
How can I achieve this in Global Mapper, as ArcGIS Explorer does not allow saving as a dxf or shp, only nmf?
cheers

Emmsee,
You can edit the lines with the Digitizer Tool. Just select the lines that you want to edit, then right-click and select the edit option and modify the style as desired. Note that while the styles will be mostly maintained on export to DXF, the SHP format doesn't have any style support so they won't be maintained through export to that format.
Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Thanks,
Mike
