Hi,

I have published an ArcGIS WMS service and successfulyy connected to it using ArcMap/ArcCatalog. However, when I try and add it to Global Mapper, I get the list of layers but when I try and add one to the map I get the following error:
Error loading WMS data source.
Unable to parse WMS server GetMap URL, make sure it is valid.
OGCWMSOverlay.cpp - 593
Version: v12.01
Build Time: Feb 2011 18:37:27

The details are:

Any help would be much appreciated.

Marc

    Marc,

Can you first try getting the latest v12 build and see if that makes it work? I have placed a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper12.zip with the change for you to try. Simply download that file and extract the contents into your existing v12.xx installation folder to give it a try. If you are using the 64-bit v11 version there is a new build at http://www.globalmapper.com/global_mapper12_64bit.zip .

    Thanks,

    Mike

Cheers for that Mike, but unfortunately now I get the following error:

    Error Loading WMS data source.
Unable to parse server URL, make sure it is valid.
    OnlineRasterOverlay.cpp - 336
    Version: v12.02
    Build Time: Oct 4 2011 17:12:23

I am not sure if the error is with Global Mapper or the WMS, probably the latter. I am keen to download 13 and see if this helps.

Can you provide the exact URL that you are using, or maybe a screenshot of the dialog where you are setting up the source?

    Thanks,
