Greetings,
I use Global Mapper 12

I have a specific project where the requirement is to provide my digital maps to a client. This client will use my shapefiles for view-only matter from their local server.

However, I need to find a way to protect my shapefiles from being re-distributed to other people.

I tried exporting to BMP or JPEG but then quality is very bad.

Is there a recommended export format with Globalmapper to achieve my task and protect my shapefiles?

Thank you in advance,

You are probably taking the right approach with exporting to a raster format like BMP or JPEG so that the raw vector information is no longer available. You just need to reduce the sample spacing used when exporting to get a higher resolution result from the vectors. Just keep adjusting that value until you get the detail that you require.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

    Mike
