Hi

Im truying to simulate the efects of a tsunami in certain region of mexico.
I have the bathimetry data, the elevation data (Dem file) and some georeferenced photos.

Is posible to emulate the effects of a tsunami? I have been using the wather level efect for this but I dont know if there could be very realistic. could you give me some suggestions?

thanks

There isn't any specific support for modeling a tsunami. I think the water level visualization tool is the best you are going to get without more specialized software.

    Thanks,

I don't personally know of any tsunami simulation software, but maybe someone else here does?

    Thanks,

We have had some Tsunami modelling done by a contractor, if I get a chance tomorrow I will find out what they used, but from a quick google, I'd say that unless you have access to a highend computing cluster then things maybe a little slow to render. If you are trying to model any sort on inundation you really need LiDAR as most DEM models are just to course.
