Using Elevation Grid "No Data" Distance Criteria in ASCII Grids

Hallo,

I used the "Batch Convert/Reproject" function to reformat an xyz-file into Arc/Info ASCII Grid File. The definition for the Elevation Grid "No Data" Distance Criteria is full of Tight in my task. By reformating only one file, it works fine. But if two or mor files were reformated (with same definitions and the parameter "Use Selected Options for All ASCII Files") it doesn't work. Tiles with interpolations were generated. Why?

I'm working with version 9.03.

Thank you for help,
Peter

    Peter,

When you say tiles with interpolations were generated, what exactly do you mean? Did some of the files apparently not obey the tight grid generation setting?

    Thanks,

    Hallo Mike,

    sorry of my late answer.
Some files of my data are not filled with elevation values completely. After reformation with batch, the empty regions are filled with interpolated elevation values.

    Peter,

Try unchecking the option to fill small gaps in the data when you do the conversion. That should prevent those gaps from being filled in with interpolated values.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,
