New user.. doing well with the maps and all... would like to get a 3-D symbol ie the tower with some height, - 10-15 ft, a flag pole with some height 10-15 ft so that when in walk mode the waypoints stick up to against the terrain.. any suggestions would be appreciated..

thanks barefoot:):

Currently 3D points are just displayed as a dot in space, although we are working on getting symbols there.

To get what you are after you would need to create a small area feature (maybe a small rectangle or circle) with an elevation attribute set to the height that you want it to stick up to, then check the option on the 3D View Options to extrude areas. Then you'll get that small area small extruded from the specified height down to the terrain surface, making it visible in walk mode as a stick protruding up to the specified height.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Thanks,

    Mike
