64 bit and Quad experience and capability

I would like an insight into the capability and experience with Global Mapper with a Quad Processor and 64 Bit Environment. Will it be able use the resources appropriately and also the RAM as it can go much beyond 4GB say 8 or 12 GB.
If is has been tested or someone actually put it use, I would request to share the info as this will be apt for heavy to very heavy jobs.
Thanks

Global Mapper is able to use up to 4GB of memory on a 64-bit machine (as opposed to 3GB on a 32-bit machine), but there is not a native 64-bit version of Global Mapper that can make use of more than that yet.
Thanks,
Mike

And Quad Processor?

In general Global Mapper is not multi-threaded, so it will only use one processor at a time.
Thanks,

Ok. May be for future, Quad CPUs have become affordable here and Dual cores are almost default now.
Thanks
