Working with multi-band imagery in Global Mapper

Normal RGB of subject parcel

The imagery provided by MEGIS in our area includes a 4th band of data.

The webcast that I've seen; i.e.,

Raster Processing In Global Mapper

circa November 19, 2015; for me, having never attempted using the raster calculator, didn't fully explain working with multi-band imagery in Global Mapper.

I now have a project where I think that possibly the original imagery, flown leaf-off in May 2014, might be able to be used in Global Mapper to help quantify the subject parcel's hardwood stands from its softwood and mixed wood stands. Or maybe I've kidded myself into thinking this was possible?

My question

Are there any detailed instructions for working with multi-band imagery in Global Mapper?

A guess at how to expose the color infrared.

A stab at trying without fully understanding this process.

From this point backward, I was guessing; from this point forward, I'm quite lost.

Are there any detailed instructions for working with multi-band imagery in Global Mapper?

The past week of silence is suggesting there's not much written on this subject geared toward the Global Mapper user... or maybe, the thread just needs a bump?
