autoclose trace line to make an area

Is there a way of doing this to create an area every time?

Hello,
When you finish the trace line, if the final vertex is close to the start, you will be asked whether or not you want to create an area or line. When you choose to create an area, you can specify style, attributes, etc. on the Modify Feature Info window. If you put a check next to "Automatically apply these settings to new features of the same type", Global Mapper will use the same style, attributes, etc. for all subsequent area features you create during that session. If you are still using the trace line tool, you will still be prompted to create an area feature, but you will not have to repeat the extra feature information.
Cheers,
Bob
